On Thursday May 4th, the Middle School Building Committee met and formally announced that they had received 3 bids for the construction of the new middle school and the lowest bid was more than $2M under the construction budget.

 

This is excellent news! Note that there is still $5M+ in other contingencies built into the project, to cover unexpected construction issues, etc. This $2M underage is in addition to these contingencies. After the bids and all numbers were double-checked by our professional Project Management firm (Hill International), a vote was taken to formally accept the bid, meaning that CTA Construction will be building our new school!
