Donate For Property Tax Relief
PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION TO HELP THOSE IN-NEED
The Hugh Cargill Trust was established over 200 years ago by Concordian Hugh Cargill. The trust’s purpose is to provide short-term, emergency assistance to residents of the Town in times of financial need. Consisting of 5 members appointed by the Select Board, this committee assists the Board by receiving and processing applications for financial aid from Concord residents with emergency financial needs. The source of such funds is income from the Hugh Cargill Trust and from various public and private donations.
For some in Concord, the tax burden associated with funding our schools and education will have real, significant financial impact (especially for our seniors).
So, if you are able and moved to do-so, please consider making a donation to the Hugh Cargill Trust. This trust helps those in-need pay their property tax bills. More information here. You can contact them at HCTC@concordma.gov and inquire about how you can help. Or simply mail a check to Town of Concord PO Box 535 Attn Shannon McAndrew with "Tax Relief Committee" in the memo.

Correction: At the November 17, 2022 FinCom meeting, the chair explained that $5M was available to help with the impact of the new taxes. This was misinterpreted to mean that the tax relief fund had $5M in it and we posted this on this website. (In fact, it was in regard to how the town could use stabilization funds to help flatten the tax impact). We have since learned that there is just $200,000 in the tax relief the fund and regret our error and have updated this website to reflect. We hope you will donate!
